Leading with Passion. Commitment. Experience. Impact. Besides my educational background and tenacity, I will bring passion, commitment, a new perspective and voice to Bay City ISD School Board. I am running for the Bay City School Board because I want to continue making a difference in our county. I can assure you that is not a cliché answer – it is my heart. I want to be an advocate for our students. Many of our students have strong support systems outside of the schools, but unfortunately many do not. Being an advocate is something I have been gifted in and I do very well. I also want to advocate for the educators and staff. We have great schools with wonderful and talented educators and staff. Being a voice to ensure teachers have absolutely every tool needed to help each student reach educational success. While our schools are doing a great job, we should always be striving and aspiring to be and do better. I will be a vocal proponent for public education. I offer a fresh perspective and new ideas and now is the time for a season of change. I will work to:
• Ensure ZERO TOLERANCE, for the safety of our students, teachers, and staff, which is for the paramount importance every day.
• Ensure equity and quality education for ALL students. Every student has the right to a free quality education.
• Ensure our teachers are highly qualified. Also, attract and retain equity in selecting and hiring teachers, and administrators. There are five schools in our district and each one is unique. I want each school to be the focal point and pride of this community.
What we all need to remember is our schools need their community support. If elected I will continue to be honest, clear, and approachable by all. My vision for EVERY BCISD student is to leave our school system proudly saying, “I am the product of a great public school!
